At Home with Sperone
Sperone Fine I.P. Marsala is a rich, versatile wine which complements many dishes and cocktails.
- 1oz Sperone Fine I.P. Marsala
- 1 oz vodka
- ½ oz Dry Sherry
- 3 drops of Bitter
Add marsala, vodka and sherry into mixing glass filled with ice.
Shake then strain into a cocktail glass of your choice.
Add bitters and garnish with an orange twist.
- 1 oz gin
- 1 oz dry vermouth
- 1 oz Sperone Fine I.P. Marsala
Add gin, vermouth and marsala into mixing glass filled with ice.
Shake well then strain into a cocktail glass of your choice.
Garnish with lemon twist.
Gnocchi with Radicchio in Sperone Marsala sauce
- 1 Radicchio head
- 2 tablespoons butter
- ¼ cup Sperone Fine I.P. Marsala
- 1 cup cooking cream
- ½ cup of tomato sauce
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 18 oz Gnocchi, cooked according to package
- 4 oz of grated Provolone
Preheat oven to 180F. Melt butter in a large saucepan and sauté the radicchio until wilted. Pour in the Sperone Marsala and let evaporate it for 5 minutes. Stir in cream and cook until it is reduced by half. Add the tomato sauce and cook until bubbling. Take off heat and stir in gnocchi. Divide into 4 greased oven safe bowls. Sprinkle generously with grated provolone. Bake for about 8 minutes until cheese has melted. Serves 4.
