Steven Campbell Launches Campbell Kind Wine

Let’s Lower our Carbon Footprint One Sip at a Time 


TORONTO, October 17, 2019 – Steven Campbell, President of Lifford Wine & Spirits, is proud to announce the launch of Steven Campbell Kind Wine in Canada. 

This is the first international family of wines united under a Carbon Neutral banner providing choice for consumers looking to lower their carbon footprint. This fall, eight Campbell Kind Wines from six countries are being released in Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario.

On Wednesday, October 23, Lifford will preview the first release of Campbell Kind Wines at the Ontario LCBO Summerhill location between 2:00 and 4:00 pm. On offer:  South African Syrah by Bruce Jack at $14.95, New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc by Steve Smith, MW at $19.95 and a Tempranillo based Tinto from Telmo Rodriguez of Spain at $19.95. The release date for these wines through LCBO Vintages will follow shortly thereafter on October 26.

Produced in small lots by some of the world’s most acclaimed winemakers in the globe’s finest wine regions, Campbell Kind Wines are designed to be affordable and over-deliver on price while allowing Canadian wine lovers to reduce their carbon footprint one sip at a time.

To achieve carbon zero status, the climate impact of these wines will be measured by Carbonzero, a Canadian company that specializes in determining carbon impacts.  The carbon footprint of the wine, packaging, and shipping will be offset here in Canada.

For Steven Campbell, the CKW project is the culmination of decades of engagement both as a leader in the wine trade and as a long-time supporter of environmental causes. Since 2005 Lifford Wine & Spirits has operated as a Bull Frog Powered, Carbon Neutral company. To date, in conjunction with Tree Canada, Lifford has planted over 90,000 trees across Canada.

In 2005, through partnership with Tree Canada, Lifford Wine & Spirits became a Carbon Neutral Company. To date, Lifford has planted more than 90,000 trees in Canada.

Prior to owning Lifford, Steven Campbell was a restaurateur/sommelier and owner of Delisle Wine Bar where for over ten years he welcomed wine aficionados to his award-winning restaurant. In recognition of his outstanding dedication to environmental stewardship, York University awarded Steven Campbell an Honorary Doctorate of Laws on October 16, 2019.
